Naftaly M. Mwirigi

Naftaly is an Asst. Research Scientist currently stationed at KMFRI-Kisumu. He has a background in food science and human nutrition and graduated with a BSc in Food Science and Technology from the University of Nairobi in September 2017. He is a certified CISCO Networking Associate from Kenyatta University's CISCO Networking Academy in 2012 and QGIS certified from IHE Delft Institute of Water Education in May 2021.

He has food-handling skills and research capacity in the collection and analysis of data. He has also participated in the following project activities:

  • Small Fish for Food Project: A 3-year project funded by the EU's LEAP-Agri and the NRF-Kenya to evaluate the status and importance of the freshwater pelagic fish and fisheries for sustainable and healthy livelihoods in Africa.
