• In the Kenyan inland water bodies; Lakes Victoria, Naivasha, Turkana and Baringo and other satellite Lakes.
• Supervision of students of fish pathology from Universities on attachment at the KMFRI Kisumu centre.
• Training the local fisher communities on aquatic animal health management programme to assist them in taking immediate preventive and control measures.

• Currently researching on the effects of the changes in the physical and chemical environment on the aetiological agents of fish diseases in pollution monitoring in small water bodies as well as the Nyanza gulf of the Lake Victoria Kenya, using commercial species; Lates niloticus, Oreochromis niloticus, and Rastrineobola argentea.
