Alice first assignment was in Kisumu Research Centre in the year 2012, where she worked in the post harvest losses and natural products program with major objective of improving the livelihood of the fisher community especially the fish processors. She has participated in various projects e.g the LVEMP II on pollution monitoring on fishing grounds and Water Hyacinth Monitoring and Surveillance in Kenyan Waters of Lake Victoria. She also played a major role in the LAVICORD project on Gelatin extraction and fish value addition. She has an interest in limnology which she is currently working on in L. Naivasha alongside post harvest losses and value addition. Alice has participated in several workshops and conferences both in and outside the country.
