Ms. Cecilia Githukia is a PhD student at Kisii University in Fisheries Management. She holds an MSc Degree in Aquaculture and BSc in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences both from Moi University. She also holds a certificate in International Post Graduate in Limnology from IHE-The Netherlands. Ms. Githukia is an aquaculture scientist involved in research activities on fish breeding, nutrition and fisheries socio economics. She has co-authored 3 books and 9 papers in peer reviewed journals. Currently, she is involved in research geared towards improvement of opportunities of fish farmers, marketers and consumers along the aquaculture value chain in realization of the fourth big agenda on food security.
