Dr. Charles Magori

I am the Assistant Director in charge of Oceanography and Hydrography Department at KMFRI under the newly established Research Directorate on Oceans and Coastal Systems (OCS). In in charge of sea level monitoring in Kenya responsible for producing tide tables for the ports of Mombasa and Lamu. I am also involved in quality control of sea level data, analysis and as well as data archiving and documentation. 

I am also the GLOSS Regional Coordinator for Western Indian Ocean region. My 
responsibilities are coordinating sea level monitoring and related activities in the WIO 
Region and also assisting in the development of GLOSS AFRICA web page. I spearheaded the sea level component in the GOOS-AFRICA project proposal that aimed to establish a Regional Ocean Observing and Forecasting System for Africa (ROOFSAFRICA).
